The first edition of Louis Dussault's Le protocole, instrument de communication was published to critical acclaim in 1995; the 460-page book, considered a reference by its readers, was reprinted several times since and translated into Romanian and Vietnamese.

A new 740-page edition appeared in 2003 and is now on sale. All chapters underwent significant changes, and a new one was added – protocol and the media –, along with a bilingual English/French section and Internet references.

Available in French, this book attempts to answer questions raised during seminars and talks that Dussault gave on the subject. It also makes many ideas accessible that would otherwise remain obscure to most readers.
